Literally a walk from our condo on Miramar Beach. This restaurant was highly recommended and trust me, the food did not disappoint. I believe our server was overseated and became overwhelmed. Appetizers came out promptly and delicious everything after that was delayed unfortunately. Please do yourself a favor if you want FRESH go I would even recommend sitting at the very large well done bar! Bon appetite'
Great place to grab lunch with great views! Came during holiday season so it was slower and we couldn't sit outside on the back patio but they have large windows. Crab dip is a great starter. Fried fish was lightly battered and great.
We wanted to eat on the beach, and Surf Hut was a good selection. We were a party of six, and had a very short wait - less than ten minutes. We had what I think was the best seat in the house. We were outside, in the corner table next to the beach. It was dark outside so we didn't have much of a view, but saw people outside playing bags set up on the beach. I decided to try their Blue Heron drink. It was tropical, as the name suggests, and they donate $1 toward environmental causes for every one sold. For my meal, I had grilled Cobia with Polynesian Chili Sauce. I'd never had Cobia before and it was very fresh and good. We also ordered sweet and spicy pickle chips for the table. Those are off my diet so I didn't have any, but everyone else seemed pleased with them. The experience and ambiance were excellent. This was a fun selection for our dinner. My pictures are dark since it was pretty dark where we were seated.
Sit on the deck and enjoy the surf! We ordered oysters, pork tacos, cucumber salad, crab legs, grilled grouper, and catch of the day. The server was fun and helpful with choices. It was happy hour so we took advantage of the $5 cocktails. We would go again and try different items. Everything we had was tasty but there were so many other items we wanted to try. There are plenty of non-seafood items on the menu.
A strong 4 stars for surf hut! It was easy to bike to from where my yoga retreat was staying. The fresh catch lunch special was tasty. A simple meal but hit the spot for me! I loved the fact it was right on the beach and had cornhole to play!
Perfect location, casual & classic gulf beach food. It wasn't cheap but it also wasn't the worst I'd seen price wise in the area. We actually liked this place so much that we came two nights in a row. The first night we had two kids shrimps and two cocktails for $100. The next night we had two cocktails, an appetizer and fish tacos for $70 so it's worth doing some math and sharing meals if you're on a budget. Didn't drive so I couldn't tell you about parking but walking up from the beach was super easy along their boardwalk entry. Looked like they had a nice spot to wait for tables too. We ended up sitting down immediately by going straight to the bar.
Surf Hut offers an outstanding dining experience with great service and an incredible ocean view. Our meal featured fish tacos and grilled grouper fish, both of which were fresh and delicious. For appetizers, we enjoyed the fried oysters and shrimp, which were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The drinks were equally impressive. We ordered the Blond Bombshell and the Bucket Wave Master, both of which were refreshing and expertly crafted. With its excellent service, stunning views, and delicious food and drinks, Surf Hut is a top choice for a memorable meal by the ocean. Highly recommended!
